How soon after c section ?

When did your regular period come back after a c-section? I am 3 weeks and 1 day postpartum. Up until yesterday my bleeding was very minimal. Almost completely gone at times. Could just use a panty liner.

But yesterday the bleeding got heavier and this morning it’s even more. I know my mid wife had told me the bleeding should gradually decrease and not get worse. I just don’t know if this is still bleeding from birth and my body going back to normal or if it’s the start of my period.

Also. I am breastfeeding which I thought also delays the start of your period.

Should I be concerned that the bleeding is getting heavier so soon?
