NST? Fluid check?

So, my due date is October 20th. (in less than an hour) Anyway, I have my next appt set for Monday. They will be doing a fluid check and an NST. I was expecting our little boy to come before Monday so I didn’t ask what this all included.

What should I expect with an NST? I know I’ll be monitored for a while but for how long? What do they usually look for?

A fluid check is basically an ultrasound correct?

I know these are probably odd questions but I didn’t have these done with my first son. So I’m clueless.

We will be setting an induction date. (Because spots fill up quickly) I’m also hoping my midwife will do a membrane sweep too! I’m so ready!
