No.. Marriage is so much more than a piece of paper or changing your last name. You make a huge commitment to each other! I don’t think you have to be married, but it is a big deal. A lot of things you don’t realize change once you get married(legal things). If I were to get married I would lose so many opportunities and things. I can still love my partner the same, but being a single mom on paper helps me more. Divorces are also a huge and complicated thing
