My husband encourages me NOT to go to church

I told my husband that I was going to church in the morning and he went on this long tangent on how I don’t need church to make me whole or spiritual or to get my life together. He says that church is in my heart and I need to look into the god inside myself to make myself better. I thought he was a Christian but a lot of what he says sounds wrong and Feels wrong. He sounds like a new age believer and doesn’t even believe the story of Christ anymore. I don’t know who he is anymore& it’s making me lose myself
