What is the recommended process through pregnancy until birthing.

Hi ladies, it's my first time here in the U.S (N.Y) and I'm not familiar with the procedure within the health system leading up to giving birth, can I get some advice please T.I.A.
SIDE NOTE: back in my home country the process was to join the public health centre and the medical staff will give you appointment dates for check ups until your due date to be admitted to the maternity hospital or if you went into labor you go directly to the hospital to birth.

Find an ob/gyn through your health insurance website.  Each practice is associated with a hospital and that’s the one you’ll deliver at.  Typically you are seen every 4 weeks until you are 30 weeks, every 2 weeks until you’re 36 weeks, and then every week until you deliver.  At the practice I go to they schedule your next appointment at the end of the current appointment.

Hi dear! Congrats on your pregnancy. You need to find a obstetrician-gynecologist near you and set an appointment. The first appointment is usually conformation of pregnancy and blood drawn to check HCG. They will go over your follow up appointments and in my case I’ve gotten folders with all the paperwork like hospital ￼ registration etc. they usually recommend you when to come in: 6 weeks or 8 weeks is usually the time when doctors will see you the first time around (it depends on the doctor of course) and so on afterwards.
