When did y’all started sexually activity ?

Hi ladies my ob tolled no sex for a month I gave birth on September 15 so I’m 5 weeks pp I saw her on September 30 that’s when she tolled no sex for 1 month. I did check myself down there no stitches no more no pain nothing it’s heal. should I wait till I get appointment or just go a head I will make an appointment for her till October 28.

I have never heard 1 month, usually it’s 6 weeks. It has nothing to do with your vagina but rather the wound inside your uterus from where the placenta was attached. Sex can introduce bacteria that can cause an infection. That being said, lots of people don’t wait the 6 weeks and don’t have an issue but it’s a risk. I waited 9 weeks with my first because I was still sore at 6 weeks. This time I felt fine a couple days after delivery and didn’t have any stitches but I’m still waiting until 6 weeks. - side note, sept 15th is my birthday ! Lol

Definitely WAIT!!! I in the other hand had sex 3 weeks pp 😛 I am 1 month pp today and I Still have sex. I have my appointment on the 30 ..

**Unpopular opinion here***
As a provider I tell women 6 weeks or when bleeding stops. Is it evidence based?  No. Yet research on the topic shows many women resume intercourse will before then,  about 50% at 2w. Do what feels right for you.  Providers don't know your body as well as you. 
It happens quite frequently that the 6wPP visit turns into a new OB visit. Clearly telling people not to have sex until 6w doesn't work.

I’m 7 weeks PP and haven’t stopped bleeding so I still haven’t even thought about it.
