Im Due on 20th Oct. very uncomfy. Should I call and ask for a sweep this week?

Lost my mucus plus (sorry hate that term) 3 weeks ago, had the odd twinge but nothing else. Swam a mile, went for a walk and cleaned my floors today to try and keep busy.

I had 3 and ended up 8 days over! My midwife said it doesn’t work and it’s just coincidence if you do! I was already 3cm dilated stars my first one 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sounds to me like labour could be any day!! I lost the first bit of my mucus plug on the Sunday before I went into labour and started having twinges a couple of days before. My contractions started and my waters broke at 3am on the Thursday.
Sweeps only work if things are already moving, but it sounds to me like they are anyways!!

Definitely worth a go now your Due! My sweep put me straight into labour they only work if your body’s ready x
