I just need to vent. This weekend me and my husband went on a trip to El Paso with some friends. We’ve been staying at his parents house. Well today since it’s a huge football game for them everyone in their family came over. I have gotten along well with everyone and had a lot of fun here. Anyways I had $50 cash folded up in my wallet in my purse. I left my purse alone in the living room for about 30 minutes while I ate and played a game of Uno with my friends. I didn’t check my purse when I came back because I didn’t see a need to. I was then later invited back to the table to play Lotería (a Mexican card gambling game) so I went into my purse to get my cash and when I opened my purse and then opened my wallet it was empty. I told my friend and he tried really hard to help me and my husband find it and then asked all the little kids who were running around if they maybe found $50. Of course they all said no. His parents felt bad but tried to make me feel better by telling me that it was “probably just one of the kids”. That didn’t make me feel better. If it was my house and I was hosting a party I would’ve made all the kids empty out there pockets in front of me instead of taking their words for it. I just feel really upset and sad. I’ve never had anything stolen from me.
