Birthing position awareness

Tiffany • Army wife 4/16/16💍

I was surprised with how many people didn’t know you could give birth like this in a hospital, or just didn’t think to give birth like this. So I feel the need to spread awareness for this position! It’s sooo much easier on your body, it takes the pressure off of your pelvic bone, and gravity helps a lot. I wouldn’t say it’s painless, but it’s definitely sooo much less painful. When I was first getting contractions I was on my back, and those hurt so much. Once I got on my hands and knees it revived so much pressure. Giving birth hurt less than the contractions I had on my back. I hope this helps some women! (Side note, I gave birth all natural with no drugs. I didn’t feel the need to with this position!)

Just wanted to add that my labor was only 5 hours long, once I checked into the hospital.

I felt very lucky to have such a easy and fast labor for my first! But I know not everyone is like that, I know for sure if my labor was 20+ hour long I would want some drugs 😂 and every woman/labor is different! You just have to find what works best for you and your baby! This post was mainly just to spread awareness for natural and drug free labor. And how it’s really not as scary as it seems (most of the time). But no matter how you give birth it’s all amazing and you are bringinging life into the world💕

My chunky little 3 month old now 💕
