36 weeks, are you dilating or not? If so how far?

I went to see my obygn today and it my 36 weeks checkup for swab and how far. I’m 36 weeks and 3 days and I’m barely opening up not even one cm. Omg! I have a a feeling my baby is going to be over due. Due date is nov 15. I’m in alot of pain and pressure and just want to get it over with this pregnancy already. Been having hard time sleeping and everything is painful and I don’t want to do anything cos of how much pain I’m in. Urgh!

With my first I wasn’t dilated at all before 39.5 weeks. Carried to 40+5 and had my waters broken to start labor 
Third baby I was dilated to a 3 at 36 weeks and still carried to 40+6 - so it’s just toss up. 
You dilation and progress can change in 30 mins or less, so don’t let it get you discouraged.

Last week at 36 weeks I was 2cm and 50% effaced. I walked around like that for a month with my first before he came on his due date.

37+1 here and was just checked today. Baby is super low but apparently cervix is still high and is firm 😩😩

I’m having a csection and never dialated with any of my kids. But today at almost 38w they checked me as I’ve been having pain and allot of pressure and still closed and cervix is still thick lol so u just never know??? Even if u were dialated u could stay that way for weeks before active labor occurs

With my first I was 2 cm dilated and cervix was soft at almost 37 weeks. I had the baby at 38 weeks.
My second baby, I was checked at 36 weeks 3 cms, 50% effaced and head down.   Things are continuing to progress with mucus plug coming out.

I'm 34 weeks and last week I was 2 cm.... this is my 3rd baby is the last 3 yrs (birth control doesn't seem to work for me 🤣🙈) But his head is down so low they couldn't even see him hardly on the ultrasound....so we are thinking this time it won't be long. With my last son I was 38 weeks and 4 cm when I went in to labor, so you never know!
