Is vomitting a side effect of a flu shot?

I’m 17 weeks pregnant and haven’t had nausea or vomitted since about 12 weeks. Then, suddenly today I had to get out of bed at 1am to throw up basically all I ate at dinner. It was so strange. Could it be becoz I just got a flu shot (about 8 hours prior to vomiting)?

I work in an OBGYN office and just asked one of our docs this question for you and she said no it wouldn’t have caused the vomiting. That the flu shot takes about 2 weeks to fully have an effect on your system and within that time if you get sick or throw up it wouldn’t be caused by the vaccine but rather by either something you ate, prior exposure, or just random morning sickness which does happen sometimes.

If you look at the CDC website, nausea is a listed side effect of the flu shot. Kids are especially prone to vomiting so it makes sense that a pregnant woman is more prone to vomiting as well since your stomach is more sensitive.

I have the same thing ! Threw up the night I got the shot and the night after. Wondering too if it’s a reaction from the flu shot or just pregnancy symptoms.
