Any one else a little tired?

I am so tired of the hate, anger, and “you are wrong so take your beliefs somewhere else.” I feel like all I have to do is mention that I am a member of the church and it’s like a set fire to gasoline. The moment they know it’s like everything you say from that point on is wrong. It doesn’t matter how you approach it or how kind you are. It’s just painful and exhausting. Makes me want to just hide in my home!

That sounds so painful! It's hard when people judge you just because of your religion. My in laws like to use the church and it's teachings against my family. I totally understand wanting to hide. Have you tried reframing each situation as it comes? I find that reframing (when I pull up all the Truths in the situation [only known facts] and look at how I felt and then giving it to God) helps me so much. I am able to just see where my responsibility is (only in taking care of myself) and then how others react to me isn't so painful anymore 🙂 because the Truth is you aren't responsible for how others perceive you. The Truth is you are a child of God. The Truth is your value and worth isn't diminished because of how another person sees you or feels about you. I recommend the book Codependent No More by Melody Beattie. It helped me stop taking responsibility for other people's feelings.
