My LO hates car rides! She specifically hates being by herself in the back. When we’re traveling as a family, I can sit in the back with her and help her out but I obviously have to drive with just her a good amount of times. She will cry and wail with tears streaming down her face until she falls asleep. I try to stop when I can to calm her down but obviously it’s not feasible to stop every 5 minutes or even at all when I’m on the highway. I’ve tried hanging toys and a mirror for her, giving her a pacifer, talking and singing to her and nothing helps! I know she is lonely/scared but I have to take her in the car. Any one else having this problem? What else can I do? Poor girl is crying herself to sleep and it breaks my heart to hear it.
