When did you start your babies on solid foods? And what kind of foods?

What was the first food you tried with your babies? Cereal? Bananas? Carrots? Sweet potatoes? Green beans? Squash?

6 months, as recommended by most major health organizations. 
No one should be starting at 3 months unless there’s some medical issue and it’s ordered by a doctor. 4 months is the bare minimum and that’s only with doctors approval. 
We started with purées. Squash I think?

4 months. It’s when your baby shows readiness. She already had thickened milk so it wasn’t a drastic change to start letting her have bites of soupy rice cereal. We didn’t use it to replace a bottle, at 4 months it was just to let her have a taste. By 6 months she was eating any and everything. 
At 4 months o was still breastfeeding so I used to heat up some milk, mix it in with a tablespoon of gerber rice cereal until it was really soupy, and let her try it. over time I added more cereal and things like mashed bananas. I normally eat cream of wheat for breakfast so I think us both eating the same thing also encouraged her.

Started with baby rice cereal then tried him on green beans and other veggies so he wouldn't automatically dislike them and want fruits instead. He was between 3 and 5 months old when we introduced baby foods but he refused baby cereal after he ate the foods lol now hes a great unpicky eater!

My cousin started her baby at 3 months and the poor baby is constipated and has upset stomachs all the time. It’s horrible but she thinks it’s fine because her doctor said it is. How idiotic 🙄

6 months but research finds that iron may just tap out by 4 months? Not an issue with formula though as it contains iron. Any food high in iron should be introduced - hence cereals generally being the first (also less likely to have allergy to). Rice should be avoided as it has trace arsenic due to how it grows. Oats and quinoa are good. But iron is also in lentils, meats and green vegetables.

4 Months is the minimum and that’s only because my 1st was extremely ready for food. We always start with cereal mixed with formula. My 2nd started at 6 months bc she didn’t care about food.

BLW from 6 months as recommended and SO glad we did. We had comments trying to pressure us into early weaning but I refused.
My little ones first meal was sweet potato, beans and some other veg. He loved it!

We started with green beans, bell peppers, things that were easy to hold & gnaw on. She loved bananas & avocado at that age too.
