No period after Nexplanon?

Question

An NP told me that my implant from two years ago is the reason I'm not having periods? Has anyone else experienced anything like that after having nexplanon removed? 
She also told me my weight might have something to do with it (which I think is more likely I'm 215 at 5ft7) so I am feeling pretty bummed out right now 😔

I didn’t have a period for the first 6 months after having implant removed. Then I would only have a period every 3/4 months if that. We were ttc for 3 years before we got pregnant, I had investigations done but they didn’t show that anything was wrong they just put it down to the implant and hormones x
