Do you let your baby cry it out?

When I was pregnant I was 💯 sure I would not let my baby cry for more than 10 seconds. Well, it’s been 7 weeks and that is getting exhausting. I have A LOT of help, so  as soon as she cries she has someone to pick her up, I’m just scared I’m growing a little monster. (Lol). But seriously, She only wants to be held or sleep with us. She SCREAMS everytime she is put in her bassinet/ crib/ pack and play. I know it is. It recommended to let newborns cry it out, but... how else can I teach her to sleep on her own? I’m worried mostly for when she has to go to daycare (5 months)

The only time a newborn should be “left to cry” is if the caregiver is losing it and needs to step away for a few minutes to collect their composure versus potentially harming the baby.
Aside from that very rare occurrence, they should never be left to cry. 
The only way they can communicate is by crying, it’s our responsibility to respond. By responding immediately, they learn they are loved, they are safe, the world is a safe place and they can trust their caregivers. They will begin to cry less AND be emotionally stable.
Crying it out teaches them that no one is coming.
That is horrifying. No one is coming.
A baby should never feel that and give up calling out for help because No One Is Coming.
Let daycare worries be abated when she goes. That’s a ways down the road, fill her up with love and safety and she will thrive, mama.

It is not recommended to let newborns "Cry it out ". They're obv crying for a reason. 
Have y'all checked for reflux , gas, colic, ect?

If you are going to choose cry it out, it is not recommended until 4-6 months.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I’m reassured I’m doing the right thing to tend to her as soon as she starts crying. I guess we’ll figure out what happens once she starts daycare. Hope all your babies are doing well ❤️

I let my baby cry it out once because I thought you were supposed to let them cry it out. When I was pregnant I told myself I would not spoil my baby. I soon found out you're not supposed to and I felt terrible. 
But my baby also kept crying as soon as I put her down on her bassinet and her pack and play. I was dying on no sleep. 
I bought her a Dock a Tot and she has loved it ever since. I have slept many hours. And I also learned I was underfeeding her. 
You may just want to try to figure out what your baby is trying to tell you. I know it is frustrating but I'm sure you will figure it out.

The only time(s) we let crying out happen is if we need to take a step back (which can honestly happen to anyone and is the best choice if you are losing your cool). Otherwise, as everyone else stated, our baby isn’t currently at an age where crying it out is productive. It’s hard trying to navigate so much of this sometimes. 😖

The only time mine has had to CIO is in the car. I HATE it and cry every time because the cry escalated to be so desperate and I feel like her heart is breaking when I’m not grabbing her! I try to sing and talk and reassure her I’m there but when she eventually wears herself out I feel awful.

Dont let her cry it out but I do agree with teaching her self soothing. I always have my son near me, in his sight n in a lit area. I also either talk or sing with him near me but I'm not holding him. I will touch him though. It's working on our son bc he has been sleeping in our bed since being home from the hospital. He now takes naps in his bassinet for about an hour. I'm a stay at home mom for right now n I'm trying to get him on a sleeping schedule too. Bc mommy is super horny n it's time for some adult time 🤨😈🎇
