Anyone else considering "early" induction due to baby size?
This entire pregnancy I have been so adamant that I dont want to be induced. I was my last 2 pregnancies and I really just wanted to try to go on my own. 2 weeks ago my belly was measuring small so doc ordered an ultrasound that estimated baby to be 7lb 5 oz. Which I know can be give or take a pound. So here I am 2 weeks later wondering exactly how big this kid is gonna get?! My 2 girls were 7lbs at birth. One of my biggest fears is shoulder dystocia I would seriously be crushed if my body caused my baby to break his shoulder bc I didnt want to be induced again. Again I know it's an estimate and can be off so he could be anywhere from 7 to 9 lbs on my due date. I'm so torn on what to do. My doctor has already offered an elective induction at 39 weeks so I know he is on board with whatever I want to do. Anyone have advice? Would it be better to make baby come a little early and him be smaller than we thought or wait it out and have him be huge? I'm leaning more toward having him come early but I'm so freakin scared to get induced again 😫 helppppp.
