Bassinet recommendations?

Question

I keep going back and forth on this decision. What bassinet should I get?! Baby will be in our bedroom with us (that’s a non-negotiable even if we wanted to keep her in her own room—we live in a one bedroom). I don’t want to get a crib until it’s necessary because we may move to a 2-bedroom before that point and I don’t want to have to move a crib. So what bassinet should I get in the interim?

I am using a pack n play. Baby grows out of a bassinet so fast that it was never worth the money for us. The pack n play has a bassinet too so I dont have to bend down to pick baby up and its portable.

My daughter loved the dream suite. We used it on our main floor for naps and changing. Carried it upstairs a few times too. Had the soothing vibrate which helped sometimes. It was nice could roll from room to room so she loved to lay on changing side (before could roll and while monitoring) she could see around and be part of what we were doing. When we traveled to family we had the basic pack and play with the infant insert thing that lifts it high and a firm mattress and that worked well but didn’t use until 4-5 months old so not sure for tiny infant how that works.

Either a pack n okay or the chicco bassinet looks like a dream and if I don’t get it for my baby shower I’m going and buying it. 🤪

Pack n play all the way! I used one with my daughter that had a bassinet on one side and change pad on the other. Get one with a change pad, babies often pee while you change them, so doing a night change in your bed or right where they’re sleeping would be dangerous. 😂

I highly recommend a bassinet! Any halo bassinet or the delight beside me dreamer bassinet are super good for higher end and for a more affordable one delta brand is super good. Would highly recommend all those.😇  In my opinion i hated the pack and play. Really a waste of money for me. I think you’ll have to see what’s best for you though.

I second the pack n play. They have ones that have a top ‘floor’ for a bassinet. It’s only $70ish, maybe less. And I’ve heard of people only using a pnp and never needing a crib.
