So my best friend lives 2 hours away and has NEVER once came to visit me. It’s always me going there. She always has some sort of excuse. I recently bought my first home and want her to come visit and spend the weekend with me and of course she hit me with another excuse. This time: “my dog can’t do long drives and I have no one to watch her”. Last time “she was helping her friend move” there’s always an excuse. Personally I think she has anxiety about driving and being away from home. Is it wrong for me to expect for her to come here once in a while? I’ve probably made over 20 trips there in the last couple of years. Or should I respect that she has anxiety about this kinda stuff? I wish she would straight up tell me instead of just making lame excuses because this makes me feel like I’m putting way more effort in the friendship as her.
