Too early?

This is my husband and I first time trying. My period is due oct 28th I am so impatient- I took a test this morning it was negative... is this too early to take? I have been feeling a few symptoms that I normally get when I’m getting my period, my boobs hurt 1 day and then stopped hurting and not today started to hurt again. Lower back cramps randomly, and my cyst on my ovary had pain as well a couple days. Should I just think I’m not pregnant since it said negative this morning or should I test again in a couple days?
