Why would this happen ?

I had a csection August 14 and my daughter passed away three hours after she was born. I’ve been heart broken and emotional. I started thinking about my cycle and realized I had a normal period September 19, and was supposed to start AF again October 19 and nothing at all yet. What would cause a late start?

Your body is still healing. Periods can be wonky for a couple months after pregnancy.

Are you having sex?
Could be hormonal imbalances, the stress of the loss could also contribute. 
Are you sure it was your period you got in September? I bled on and off for 4-6 weeks after having my child, because it stopped for a week or so, and started back i assumed it was my period. It was not. I didn’t get my period for a few weeks following.
