I’m thinking about when I have the baby I should cover or not... I really don’t want to cover but I’m just wondering if I’m gonna have strange types of men approaching me asking a million questions which I Don’t want ! So please share experiences/ stories anything I’m curious , I live in NYC so anything is accepted basically , doesn’t mean it will be fun though lol

I breastfed without a cover and have only seen people smile at us. Really, what is more beautiful than a baby and his mama?!? 
With that said, I generally wear a nursing top or something with buttons when I go out and try to use baby to shield my boob.

I breastfed not covered up everywhere, no one ever asked me any questions or commented on me breastfeeding. My little girl is 11months only down side of not covering up, is when little one pops off your boob to look around.🙄 But to be honest most people noticed you’re breastfeeding, then look embarrassed that you caught them looking and they tend not to look at you again. 😂

I’ve never had one person say anything to me (covered or uncovered).  One time an older woman started to say “look at that woman breastfeeding...” and I was ready to say something to her but her sentence continued with “and eating wings and sipping on a beer, I’m impressed.”  That made me happy.  I’ve fed in Central Park, I’ve used my willow pump on the subway and at municipal buildings and haven’t ever had a comment or a look.  I do choose to cover up in some places or wear a nursing top so my stomach isn’t exposed, but that is a personal preference and depends on the day and temperature.  I think you’ll be fine.

I live in Southern California where it is more widely accepted, too, and i always thought I’d get a comment, and I never got one. I usually wore a cover but there were a few times when it was so hot or it got spit up on and I just nursed with one side out. 
I was even in a hidden spot at the zoo once when an entire bridal party came upon me and everyone said “don’t move!! We can work around you!” As I breastfed awkwardly to the side of their photo shoot 🤣🤣

I guess it depends on how modest you’ll be while nursing. I have two friends who are currently nursing their babes without using a cover and one is very modest. You can’t see anything. And the other is not. She lets it all hang loose and is very exposed. If you look at just the right moment you’ll see her entire breast, nipple and all. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone said something to my exposed friend. From my inexperienced and external perspective it just all depends.

I breastfed my first for 18 months, never used a cover. I never had a man look at me or say anything. I got encouraging looks and comments from women sometimes, but that was it.
