Anyone on wic here?

My daughter is still drinking 3oz every 1.5 to 2 hrs. We get 10 cans starting this month with wic. I was getting 9 but they went up a can. Last month I had to buy her 2 extra cans of formula. This month she has already used all the 10 cans and wic doesn’t reset until the 29. So most likely I’m going to have to buy 3-4 more cans just to last her. I’ve tried to go up to 4oz to see if she will last longer but nope, she just throws up everywhere. Anyone else in this situation or something similar? Btw she’s 18 weeks today & live in Tennessee.

Yes we use WIC and get 10 cans starting this month too. My son is currently eating 6 every 3 hours, 5 times a day. Usually eats 30 oz a day. He has been since 2 months surprisingly. Have you talked to her doctor about how frequently she’s still eating? The standard recommendation is to try and top out at 32 oz of formula a day. When we got 9 cans a month we still had to buy 1 or 2 usually too. Looks like in December it’ll go down to 7 cans they provide us.

I don’t have it, but I have a friend who has it. They will tell you to apply for snap and use that money to buy more formula. Unfortunately they can up the quantity anymore, and it starts to go down even more usually when they hit 7/8 months I believe!

I just got on WIC because my girl needs hypoallergenic formula. They’re providing 11 of the 12 oz cans per month.

Have you tried baby oatmeal in her milk? We do that at bedtime and it’s amazing! My son is 17 weeks. Mississippi here!

I live in Indiana and was getting 9 cans but they went up to 10 cans this month. I get wic on the 17th every month but I usually do have to buy a couple extra cans a month. She’s taking 5 oz every 3-4 hours so we haven’t had to buy a lot extra. Now that she gets 10 I’ll probably only have to buy 1 or 2 depending on if she stays at 5 oz or goes up some. She’s teething so she’s very irritable during feedings sometimes and she has reflux so sometimes formula goes to waste.

Yeah girl. I get 10 cans a month. And now I usually buy 2-3. He is almost on his last can and we still have 2 weeks left.
