Should you break up with partner if parents are controlling

My bf parents are just awful , they are super negative to him and also very controlling always wanting to know where he is going ( he’s 24). They are always saying we hang out to much but we are both adults who don’t have our own places yet so we hang out on weekends. I feel so uncomfortable around his family like not welcome what should I do?
