Support needed
So, I was hoping my first post in this group would be about something I've made, but instead I'm coming to ask for prayers. I am not on Facebook and this is not something I'd feel ok putting on Twitter. Sorry if I'm posting this on the wrong space, I wasn't sure where else to go.
My grandma, the woman who inspired me to learn how to knit, sew, and crochet, had a bad fall yesterday. She broke her collar bone and hit her head (my mother thinks she hit the counter). She very quickly deteriorated with a brain bleed die to the blood thinners she was put on and late afternoon was moved to hospice. I am at such a loss right now and in complete shock. She's never been good with her emotions, but I have never doubted her love for her family, she just shows it by making things. I have several beautiful quilts from her that I love and will always have a piece of her with me. Born in 1929, 90 on May, she has lived such a full life...3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a husband that was with her for 60+ years. And to be honest there's some part of me that is angry that this happened, that she is hurt...
I guess, what I need is strength to be there for my mom and aunts. I can't be with them physically right now, either, so prayers for their strength to get through this together.
I have a box of granny squares she crocheted but never put together with the intention of making a blanket for my mother (her 2nd daughter out of 3). I think I've just decided that my mission is to finish this for her for Christmas.
Thank you all so much, for thoughts/good vibes, and for letting me just word vomit everything I've been holding in.
*Decided to add my favorite picture from my wedding day. She's on the right. My grandmother, on the left, we lost last year after a year of battling dementia/Alzheimer's.

*Update* Thank you all so much for your kind words and thoughts. My grandma sadly passed away not long after I made this post. I haven't been able to bring myself to come back and update since.
I will post photos of her granny squares later - I don't have a space large enough to lay them all out yet. Anyone have any advice on how to stitch/crochet them together??
