Scary birth stories???!!!

Just know that y'all scared the literal shit out of me with your birth stories and I have changed my mind about having a child and will possibly be getting back on birth control. #noimnottryingtodie

My birth was 36 hours long with problems but sooooo worth it and you forget everything the second you hold them and look into their eyes trust me

My first baby I was in labor 4 hours, pushed 40 mins. No pain meds and felt amazing after. I was shocked and thought women feel awful after. (I was 20). My twins (induces) labor was 4 hours pushed 15 mins and both were here. 5 mins apart. My youngest was my toughest. Labor was less than 4 hours, but he came sunny side up with a hand on his head. Epidural only worked on half so I felt him come down like a knife being down my birth canal. 10 mins later he was here. All short labors, all very different.

My two births were the easy. Even laughed during pushes because the nurses were cracking jokes. I got the epidural and labored for 5 hours while watching tv and not feeling a thing until it was time to push. 20 minutes of pushing and baby was here. No stitches, went shopping 3 days after the birthday because I needed to pick something up. Every birth is different.

Birth can be easy for some and brutal for others. You wont know how it will go until you try. For me it was much less horrific than I expected and recovery was much quicker. Most people wont end up traumatized from giving birth and its not super common that you will die from it either. There are many more things in this world more likely to kill you.

You need to talk to some people who have positive birth stories. I think they're talked about less because they feel like it's rubbing it in the faces of people who weren't so lucky. 
Out of the three people I know who recently had babies, only one was traumatic. The other two didn't even have pains meds and were home with their first babies the very next day! :)
My sister in law had awful pregnancies (gestational diabetes, depression, back pain) but very straight forward births. 
Yes it could go wrong and be scary. But a lot of the time it doesn't. Not trying to convince you to go through it if you don't want to, but usually it's necessary if you want a baby lol. Just know whatever u decide, there are positive stories out there!
