Is this normal?

So.. The kids sometimes refuse food they have never tried before.. And we tell them they have to eat it.

I really really hate pineapple, especially cooked (like on pizza, or rolled into ham or bacon)

Like.. If it were the last thing in the world to eat I'd rather die.

So we had 2 pizza's for the 4 of us.. One of them was hawaii (ham and pineapple) because one of the boys likes hawaii pizza.

So it was divided into 4 and everyone was supposed to have 1 slice from each pizza, but I agreed with the hawaii fan to switch.

Then my husband turned around telling me the kids need to eat everything (yes he doesn't hold back at all in front of the kids) so so do I.

He basically forced me to eat something that I'd rather die than to eat it.. But meanwhile I'm not allowed to ever cook my favourite meals because he's not particularly fond of them.

I left the table and when I came back I told the kid he should eat that slice.. If it's between that and not eating.. I'm sorry but I'm not eating.

Takeing the pineapple off barely makes any sense as the juice is all over the pizza.

So is it normal for a partner to take a stand in front of the kids against the other partner like that, forcing them to eat something they really don't want to and they know about that?

Oh and the kids are 10 and 13.. It's not like they're too young to care
