Nap time!

I know nap times have been a big topic lately for us moms. I just wanted to share a positive story for us.

It is possible!

I came on here last night to read more nap time failure vents, me being one of them. I then get an email from parents.com about nap time!

I read the section for 3month olds and thought hey I’d give it a try. Well today is day 1 and attempt 2 and it’s worked!

Here’s the set up. Baby should sleep (ideally) where he sleeps. I already set the scene to get LO used to his big boy crib so for naps he sleeps there. With lights off, blackout curtains, noise machine, sleep sack.

I put him down awake and calm. I set my timer for 5min- go in if he’s awake and calm him. Don’t pick him up! I walk out and wait 10min now and then 15 then 20 up to an hr. If he’s still awake pull him out and try again in 2 hrs. Try to get at least 45min don’t pull him out after 20min.

First attempt today I ended up pulling him out after the first hour.

This time he fell asleep after the first check in!
