Extra car seat base

Are you mommas getting an extra base for your infant car seat for your second vehicle? Or do you plan on just switching it whenever you switch cars? Our hospital gives us a car seat, so I bought an infant car seat & will be getting a convertible from them. So technically we could keep the convertible in my husbands car until she needs it in my car. Idk I just feel weird about having a teeny tiny in the convertible (even though I know it’s perfectly safe). Let me know what you plan on doing!
