Getting help from doctor ttc...

Me and my hubby tried for about a year then stopped trying and did the not trying not preventing for 6 months before I became pregnant. Unfortunately it ended in a miscarriage in Aug 2019. My Obgyn knows I have irregular periods but we haven't looked into why yet as I just started using her in June when I found out I was pregnant. I know they say you have to try for a year before doctors will help but since my miscarriage do I have to try for another year before help or can i ask for help at the beginning of next year if I don't fall pregnant before then?? 🤔
