False negative isnt the correct term. That implies that there is something wrong with the test itself, when in reality its 1 of 3 things: 1) it's too early and you havent implanted yet (miscalculated ovulation), 2) there isnt enough detectable HCG yet if you've implanted,  or 3) you are not pregnant. So hold off a day or two and test again, or better to just wait a week to see if your period comes before testing again. Best of luck!!

I didn't get a positive until 2 missed periods with my first baby. I took a test after my missed period and it was negative. Didn't think anything of it til I missed another period and got a positive

Yes I did. But it was operator error. I didn't realize there was a clear cap over the pee pad 😂
I peed on the clear cap and no pee got on the pad
False negatives are probably rare
