Gynecologist on your period??

I’m 22 and scheduled my first Pap smear for tomorrow. I scheduled this about a month ago, and my period is always regular and I was supposed to be off by now. My period came 4 days late though randomly so now I’ll be on it for my appointment. Can they still do a Pap smear if I’m on my period?

Depends on your OBGYN. Some women have excessive non stop periods and bleed and bleed and our OBGYN will see them to figure out the cause. 
You will just have to call and ask. I always make sure I don’t schedule my appointment on the week of my period.

I've never had to reschedule a pap due to bleeding. And thank goodness for that as I bled for months on end due to PCOS and endo. 
They literally work with vaginas for a living. Gynocolocists deal with blood more often that you think. Don't cancel.

I didn't have to reschedule. You should call and ask the nurse. They may just take you.
