My son was exclusively breastfed for 7 months. He would not take a bottle at all. It was extremely isolating because I could not be away from him at all.

Finally after trying bottle after bottle I found one he would take.

I hate pumping and would give him a bottle of formula every few days or so. Then he started having one every night before bed.

Now at 8 months old he gets frustrated when I give him the boob, I guess because he isn’t getting enough milk fast enough compared to the bottle. He has a 9 oz bottle in the middle of the day after lunch and another 9 oz after dinner before he goes to sleep.

With all the formula I’ve been giving him my milk supply is all but gone. I’m thinking that it may be time to just give it up and go strictly to formula feeding.

It was always my plan to make it to 12 months with breast feeding and I’m feeling pretty bad about it.
