PCOS & Positive Test Result

Hey ladies! I just wanted to share my story and my chart for those ladies with PCOS or charts that dip after ovulation. I found out I had PCOS nearly 2 years ago and my doctor put me on metformin to help with my insulin as well as ovulation. A few months ago, my husband and I decided we were ready to try. I was so nervous with my PCOS that I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, but through charting and my metformin, I was ovulating and able to see it. This past month at 8DPO I got my first faint positive (yay!) and then you will see in my chart a few hills, which got me super nervous! My chart didn’t look like the normal pregnancy charts I was seeing, my temps weren’t rising. I took a few more at home tests and then got a blood test at 10 DPO and my HGC was 51, which confirmed pregnancy! My doctor redid a test 48 hours later (this morning) and my HGC rose to 128 (mo re then doubled which is what they look for). So although my temps weren’t climbing a mountain, the HGC levels confirmed I’m progressing with no concerns from my doctors!

So basically I know it’s super stressful, but if your charts aren’t looking like the norm, don’t stress out because it doesn’t mean you are out! There are a lot of factors that could impact your temps, so if you get a positive I would highly recommend doing a blood test to confirm and worry less about all the drops.

Baby dust to you all :)
