Boyfriend leaving

My boyfriend is leaving for Mexico for work at the end of January 2020. Our son is due January 14th. Are there any precautions my boyfriend needs to take upon his arrival home? I know if he were to travel outside the US now they would have to run tests etc, but what about when the baby is a newborn? Any ideas? I will call my doctor in the morning and ask but figured since it’s on my mind to ask here if anyone has had to deal with something similar..
