When to buy nursery stuff?

I've been starting to look at nursery stuff and have a few items that I really like from LambsIvy.  I was thinking of waiting for Black Friday to buy stuff on sale.  Is that too soon? I'd be about 16 weeks.  Or should I be listing this on a baby registry? New future momma, so I have no idea on this timing.

I'd definitely baby registry it first and see if some family wants to help out.

I knew my baby shower wouldn’t be big, so I made a list of everything I wanted and if an item I picked out went on sale I’d buy it right away. Black Friday would be a great time to buy bigger items, like a car seat, or crib, unless you think family would gift you a big item like that.

I registered for a bunch of Lambs & Ivy stuff and I got it all. Blankets and sheets which I love. Definitely put them on your registry.

I was worried we would have to buy the big stuff but as soon as I opened the registry family members bought the crib, stroller/car seat, glider and playpen/changing pad. I'm 20 weeks and I guess we have some excited grandmas lol.   I would wait in all honesty or maybe throw the idea of black friday deals on stuff to family members and put the thought in their mind.
