Smoking Marijuana cause infertility??

Does smoking weed cause infertility in both men and women? My partner and I are TTC but we both smoked marijuana heavily. I’ve never gotten pregnant. I quit smoking and he hasn’t but still no results.. so is that the cause?

My husband and I both smoked marijuana very heavily while TTC and were able to conceive. I quit the minute I found out we were expecting. Not sure if there’s any correlation but it didn’t seem to affect us. Wishing you the best!

I’ve smoked weed and smoked. I read the other day actually that weed gives a man a higher sperm count? Bit weird, and got told by someone too. Dunno if it’s true or not. But there’s people out there doing drugs and drinking and they still get pregnant with a healthy baby.. 🤔 my mate not long had a little girl and she smoked and smoked weed during pregnancy and her baby healthy...

I believe it does affect both men and women however, my boyfriend has been a daily smoker since he was 15-16 and he’s now 30. We had no issues getting pregnant.

I could be wrong. But I have heard that it does have an effect on both. I’m not sure what exactly or why. Sorry. I think with the women it’s something about how your brain releases the hormones needed to release your egg. But I am also not a doctor. Lol so I could be completely wrong. Lol

Yes.
Marijuana use in men can damage sperm and reduce count.
In women who are chronic users, its effects are more cumulative and can cause infertility down the road.
I don’t believe it cause permanent infertility though.
