How heavy is too heavy to lift in pregnancy?

I lifted 50-100 pounds daily as I live on a farm and animals don’t get fed unless I feed them, I’m also a vet tech and animals don’t just sit still.... you can continue on with your everyday life that you are used to doing, if your body is used to it, do it.... if you don’t usually pick up a ton of weight, don’t start

Unless you're told otherwise or have risk factors you can continue to do whatever you normally do. I've been pregnant 4 times and never really done anything different, this last pregnancy I moved a very heavy dresser down 2 flights of stairs and into my car at almost 9mo pregnant. The girl that helped me was very impressed lol. Just be careful if you do crazy things and lift with your legs 😁👍

You can lift and do anything you were doing prior to pregnancy unless advised to do otherwise.

Different people have different strength levels and can lift different amounts. There isn’t a blanket weight limit that applies to everyone. Don’t lift more than you are capable of lifting. 
Also the biggest risk with lifting too much is injury. Miscarriage (especially in early pregnancy) is typically caused by genetic abnormalities in the fetus.

Depends on if you were doing any heavy lifting before pregnancy or not. I’d say anything under 40 pounds is ok if it’s just once or twice, if it’s consistent lifting then I’d say under 25 pounds.

I lift my 36lb 3.5 year old and 22lb 2 year old.
My doc told me I am fine to pick them up as long as it doesn’t hurt and my body is used to it.

If you lifted it before you were pregnant, you can lift it until around 20 weeks... after 20 weeks, it’s 30lbs or less.
