How much are you feeding little one? How many times a day? What are you feeding them?

I feel like I am feeding little one too much, but the doctor told me to keep doing what we're doing. Since about 4.5-5 months old, my son has been waking every two hours or so at night (used to do 6 hour stretches) and is breastfeeding 10+ times a day. Doctor recommended getting started on food at 6 months, so we did. Two meals a day.

Here's where I think I'm over feeding him. He eats about 6 tbsp in a feeding (we get the Thai Kitchen curry paste and have been saving the jars since before he was born). I breastfeed him until he's done, put him down for maybe 30 minutes tops, then feed him. He eats the whole jar and then is still complaining for more. I let him play after that and then give him more milk once he shows me he needs it (30-60 minutes after the feed).

He's a big boy and I definitely should have started feeding him solids sooner because he stayed stagnant with his weight and height between his 4 and 6 month appointment (16 lbs 12 oz, 28in)(he did go up in clothing sizes and I adjusted the whole car seat, so I don't know how he didn't grow). I don't want to overfeed him. I know food before one is just for fun, but he also needs the calories. He definitely still gets most of his nutrition from me.
