Hey so I have a quick little question about the symptoms of herpes in the genital area ... so on Thursday a bump appeared on my lip and I automatically went to google and they of course said that I had herpes , there was no pain with the bump I literally felt nothing I also peel my lips a lot and I’m the summer I picked my lip and it had a bump but it went away 2 days after and many people told me it was infected that’s why it looked the way it did .... so back to Thursday there was no pain and I was in my last period class so I sat there and cried hoping I didnt have herpes then I went home and I put alcohol on it I really don’t know why .... So the next day I woke up my lips were swollen but they went straight down when I washed my face and then today there’s really nothing there it’s just a little red because I picked my lip in that area because my lips are dry most of the time so I pick it even while writing this I’m licking them and their dry and I feel peeled skin so I pick them , over time it never blistered or crusted over or anything and there was never any pain at all but I kept washing my hands after I looked at my lip just to make sure and I only touched my lip with my pinky finger so ... but I made sure I washed my hands everytime after then I touched my Genital and when I remeberi hurried and move my hand it wasnt with the same finger though and even if it was I washed my hands so many times that day just to be sure so my question is what are the symptoms of herpes in the genitals are because I’m scared that I’m going to have it next week ( I’m also a virgin and have never recieved oral sex )

Also my friends have had cold sores before and they told me that it doesn’t look like a cold sore it just looks like I peels my lip too much
