When do i need to buy a stroller?

I know what stroller i want which doesn’t come with a car seat. I’ve got the car seat already. When do you really need to buy the stroller? Do you need it coming home from the hospital?

You don’t need a stroller coming home, just a car seat that will hold the newborn. But you don’t really need a stroller until you plan on traveling with the baby in my opinion. Like walking and going to events with them.

I put a travel system on my registry and received it!  I’m not one to stay at home and hope that by having it will make me more likely to walk laps at the rec center during maternity leave.

We get a crap load of snow for the winter so I know I won’t need a stroller to go out for anything because it will be waaaay to cold. But if you go places that don’t have shopping carts, somewhere to put the car seat, etc, and it takes a lot of walking, then a stroller would come in handy, but otherwise you really don’t need one till it’s warm out. I only use my stroller in the summer and that’s if we go to the Zoo or something.

i probably won’t get a stroller until she’s 5-6 months old. i don’t plan on taking her places where she’ll need one until then.
