Should i cancel our family vacation?

Stephanie

Hey, so I’m mostly just sharing this to see if anyone has any amazing ideas I haven’t thought of. Ugh! So, we’ve had our big family trip planned for Disneyland for about a year. It’s a surprise, so we haven’t told our kids yet. I’ve been to Disneyland and Disney world while pregnant multiple times and it hasn’t ever been an issue (I’m just hot and tired, but it’s always a good trip). Well, this time around I’ve started suffering with chronic pelvic girdle pain and psd. Basically, it hurts to sit on hard surfaces, to lift one leg while the other is down, walking, etc. some days are worse than others. I got a couple of support belts, and it seemed to help quite a bit yesterday. There was still pain, but I was able to walk around and do the errands I needed to. Today, it’s definitely worse. We were planning on going to Disney for 5 days. We haven’t purchased the tickets yet in case something came up. We can either go ahead and go, but I’ll definitely be walking slow, possibly resting more, and could possibly need to rent an electric wheelchair or something if it’s too much. We could postpone and go next year, but it probably wouldn’t be for 7-12 months. We’d also be paying for 1 more ticket, bc our 2 year old will be 3. It’s hard bc I’ve been planning and everything to get ready for it, getting really excited, but I’m also in a decent amount of pain. My husband is supportive with whatever i decide, but I guess I just go back and forth depending on the day and how much pain I’m in. I not necessarily think you guys will have a magic answer, but what would you do if it was you? Maybe it’ll help me know what we should do.

Also, let me add the trip is in 1 1/2 weeks. Also, i have 5 children (10,8,6,4,2) so it’s not necessarily a piece of cake to bring that many little ones to Disney. Thanks!!!
