How many covers?

Preparing to buy necessities for cloth diapering. I want to use fitted until she grows into the AIOs. How many covers do you suggest per size? How many prefolds? 
(I’m assuming not as many covers since those can be reused?)

My son is almost 4 weeks old. We've been doing fine with 3 newborn covers and 5 that are a little bigger. He's about outgrown the newborns. This is more than we need as his poops are well-contained and we just alternate between 2 covers all day long.

How often do you plan to wash them? I’d say about 10 per day is what you’d need. So for a load every other day, I’d say 12-15 covers, and about 24 inserts/flats/fitteds
