The doctor says I have PCOS
Hi ladies I’m looking to see if anyone has had the same issue as me? I’m 32 and I’ve been off birth control for over 1 year and been to my GP who has sent me for numerous blood tests on cycle day 2-5 and day 21, I’ve had all my hormone tests and everything has come back normal apart from having folic acid deficiency and low iron. I then had an ultrasound and they have said it’s PCOS as my ovaries are larger than normal? I’m so confused as I have regular periods on a 29 day cycle and yes I do have painful periods but I have no other symptoms. I’m lost as to what this means? Any advice is much appreciated as I want nothing more than a baby and it’s really starting to get me down. I’m currently waiting on a referral to a fertility doctor.
