How to pump enough when working?
My baby is almost 7 weeks old. Right now I'm home with her on maternity leave, so she nurses every 2-4 hours (up to her, sometimes it's 1.5 hours, but most often around 3-3.5). My husband gives her a bottle of pumped milk for one night feeding to give me a break. Because of that, I nurse all day with no pumping, then after my last night feeding with her I pump so I'm completely empty (because she doesn't fully empty both sides), and then when I get up for her feeding after the bottle I feed her and pump again. I get 1-2 oz at night, and after the bottle and then feeding her I'll get 3-4 oz.
What I'm wondering is how I'm supposed to pump enough for her when going back to work. I'll be pumping 3 times in a 9 hour work day, so technically the same as feeding her, but won't be making extra past what she eats daily.
What advice do working moms have? Do you usually pump after all feedings? I have a good supply and leak a lot, as well as feel engorged a lot, so I don't really want to pump too much and overdo it.
Thanks!
