I was a few weeks away from turning 16. He was my highschool boyfriend of 3 years. I don't regret it because at the time we were in love.

I was 15 and wasnt with the guy for very long beforehand. We dated all together about a year. I regretted it for a while (after the relationship ended & being so young.) But, now I dont. It was an experience that helped shape who I am today as myself and who I am in my current relationship.

I had just turned 19 and I was actually really happy that I waited. I didn’t love the guy I was with nor was I in a relationship with him, but I knew when I was ready. I waited until I fully knew about what STDs were and how one gets them, how my body works and what I like and also just felt confident. When it came time, I wasn’t too nervous, I felt prepared and ready. I never really felt like I waited longer than others, I was just putting myself first.
