Blood blister on labia? Anyone else?

I noticed last week that I have a small bump on the inside of my labia that looks like a blood blister. It isn’t painful, but it can become uncomfortable if my underwear rubs against it.

I showed it to my midwife and she said she actually didn’t know what it was but wasn’t concerned about it. She said it definitely doesn’t look like herpes or anything like that but she did talk about possibly popping it and doing a swab just to be safe. I haven’t done that yet, but probably will when I go back to the midwife this week.

I’m just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and, if so, what your doctor said it was? Should I be worried?
