Long distance?

My boyfriend and I have only been official for a month but have been extremely close for about a year now. The entire time I have known him he had planned to move to Florida, this is something we knew going into the relationship but foolishly didn’t really talk about until recently. He doesn’t want me to feel like I have to uproot my life for him but I told him I was open to the idea of doing long distance for a while and then possibly moving down there. Neither of us want to break up but also with our relationship being so new we don’t wanna make any huge decisions while we are still very much in the honeymoon phase. Anyone go through something similar? How did it end? Also any opinions would be appreciated considering I am extremely emotionally involved so I admit my judgement is affected by that.
