44 days “late”

Erin

I will turn 38 years old in a couple of weeks and I have PCOS and was diagnosed about 4 years ago. I haven’t been actively trying to conceive for about a year, but also haven’t been preventing pregnancy either. My period for the last year overall has been fairly regular which was surprising because the years before that, it was not. However, now I’m 44 days late. I took an at home pregnancy test last week and it came back “not pregnant”, but still, nothing. Is this PCOS just messing with me, am I possibly going through early menopause, should i stop over analyzing everything, or is it time to see a doctor? What does everyone here think?
