Does this look like shingles? Or allergic reaction?

It started two days ago and mostly itches. Sorry for gross pic!! I just got my positive hcg blood test from IVF after 3 years of trying...I’m worried this will effect my pregnancy. Thank you for any help! It’s about 2x2 inches

Shingles isn't always as painful as everyone makes it out to be. I had it across the width of my back when I was 8, and it barely itched. My mom was actually the one who noticed it because the rash was so ridiculous. So even if it doesn't hurt or itch, you should probably get it checked out ASAP just to be safe.

I’ve had shingles before, and I’m now pregnant and am dealing with chronic hives. Those look like my hives. Shingles is PAINFUL. Hives are just itchy/burn. 
Just a warning, no doctor seems to be able to say why hives happen in pregnancy. Search “hives” in this community and you’ll see its common, but there are no answers. Try taking an antihistamine (Benadryl, Zyrtec, and Claritin are all safe) and see it helps. I personally have to take Zyrtec daily with occasional benadryl to keep mine under control. I’ve been dealing with them for 8 weeks now, and it went from being one spot on my leg to popping up literally all over my body.

My shingles did look like that but hurt and burned like no other. I got them when I was 25 weeks with my first.

Where is it located? Are you in pain, Shingles hurts very badly so I’m guessing it’s not that. I would call your doctor and be seen just to rule out anything contagious. Sometimes when you’re pregnant funky things happen to your body!

As of right now, I’d say its some dermatitis. Probably just some irritation from something. However, I’d keep an eye on it and see how it develops.
